Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Lymph Massage is a gentle and effective technique based on scientific research. It has proven effectiveness by stimulating the lymphatic system thereby allowing the body to build connective tissue, enhance immune response, relieve pain, plus sedate and relax the nervous system. This very light and rhythmical massage is used to clear congestion and promote healing of many conditions, including injuries, scar tissue, pre-and post operative care, and inflammatory conditions. Most everyone can benefit from a lymph massage as it has unique therapeutic benefits unlike any other modality, one doesn’t need an medical condition to reap the benefits of (MLD) a lymph massage

BioLight and Acupuncture

Acupuncture stimulates the body’s natural healing ability, provides pain relief, and promotes physical and emotional well-being. Channels of energy run in regular patterns through the body and over its surface. These energy channels, called meridians, are like rivers flowing through the body and nourish the tissue. An obstruction in the movement of these energy rivers is like a dam that backs up. Acupuncture unblocks the obstructions at the dam and reestablishes regular flow through meridians. Therefore, acupuncture treatment can help the body’s internal organs to correct imbalances in digestion, energy production, and in the circulation of their energy through the meridians.

Light therapy has been around for generations. Just sitting in the sunshine is a type of light therapy that can have beneficial effects. Now imagine how effective using low level light therapy on targeted acupuncture trigger points will be for encouraging your body’s own natural healing abilities, rain or shine via cold laser energy and detox sessions. The BioLight is a carrier of positive signals and the acu-points are delivery gateways to promote balance and health.

Reflexology is the application of pressure to areas on the feet, hands and ears.  Science based on the premise that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all glands, organ parts and systems of the body. Reflexology helps the body to normalize its functions by promoting detoxification of organs and glands, boosting circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid, and releasing tension from head to toe. Several studies funded by the National Cancer Institute and the National Institutes of Health indicate reflexology may help with pain reduction, increased vitality, more restful sleep, and more balanced moods are common benefits.

Based on the principles of Chinese Medicine, shiatsu is similar in theory to acupuncture.  Shiatsu looks to balance the flow of vitality in the body and the meridian channels and is both a relaxing and restorative form of bodywork.  A session is received fully clothed and may include touching, pressing, or holding of the body along meridians, stretching, external application of heat or cold, dietary and exercise suggestion. Preparation: wear comfortable clothing – stretchy long pants, tee shirt with sleeves.  Shiatsu can be done on the table or floor.  Floor shiatsu is a specialty treatment.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, light-touch therapy that addresses imbalances that affect connective tissue and the central nervous system.  With the client fully dressed and lying comfortably on a treatment table, the therapist locates abnormal tensions, which are the underlying (and often unexpected) cause of pain and dysfunction, deep within the body, and gently supports your body as it works to correct these imbalances.  Because the state of the central nervous system and the strain patterns in the connective tissue can influence every part of your body, it can have a profound effect on the body.
