What are your office hours?
Our office hours are Monday thru Friday: 9 am – 4 pm and Saturdays 9 am – 1 pm;  All our services are scheduled in advance to ensure that your experience is relaxing and personal without the interruptions and distractions of a more bustling environment.  Walk-ins not available at this time.

  • Detox services (ionic footbath, colonic, sauna, manual lymphatic drainage massage) are generally scheduled:
    Mondays, Wed, & Fridays 9am-6pm. Some Thursdays and Saturdays available.

 

  • Massage & Energy Healing Services are generally scheduled:
    Monday thru Saturday: Day and evening times vary depending on practitioners’ availabilities.

How do I make an appointment:
You can contact us at (410)992-3001. Another (preferred) option is to email us at info@nourishing-journey.com. Please indicate type of service, time preference and your phone number.   All messages left before 6 pm, will be answered same day.

 

How far in advance should I book my appointment?
We recommend all guests scheduling their appointments 2 – 4 weeks in advance for Friday or Saturday. Other days are generally more available.

Will you remind me of my appointment?
Yes. Your appointment will be confirmed 48 hours in advance. If we have your email, you will get a reminder in your email. Text massage reminders are also sent if we have your cell phone number.

What if I need to cancel my appointment? Outside of a true emergency, 24 hours’ notice of appointment changes is requested for all appointments. $25 cancellation fee is charged to you for services not cancelled in this time frame.

What if I am late?
If you find yourself running late for an appointment, please call our phone number (410) 992-3001.  If you reach voicemail, please press option #2. Leave message with the practitioner assigned to you (found in your appointment notification) that you will be running late. Your session time maybe reduced to honor the appointments scheduled. We will do what we can to give you as much time as we can.

What should I expect when I arrive for my appointment?
When arriving for your scheduled appointment, you will be greeted by our staff and given instructions on how to prepare for your session. Our therapists explain the entire process in detail so that you can make decisions based on your individual preferences and needs for the service to maximize your comfort level.

 

Detox Treatment:

What preparation is required for Detox?
Please read  preparation and contraindication to determine if service should not be used or used with caution and requires Doctor’s release.

 

Massage & Body Treatment:

What should I wear if I am getting a massage or a body treatment service?
Energy Healing Sessions: (Reiki)- you are fully clothed in this session. Wear what you feel comfortable in.

Shiatsu- Wear comfortable clothes – stretchy long pants, tee shirt with sleeves.

Full Body Massage: Your body will remain draped throughout the treatment with only the area being worked on exposed.

 

Can I get a massage if I am pregnant?
Yes. Our therapists are trained in prenatal massage, but doctor’s approval is advisable. Please be sure to notify us before you set your appointment.

How much should I tip?
Generally 15-20% of the total service is appropriate, depending upon how you feel the quality of service was.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Cash, Checks, Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Visa or MasterCard Debit Cards.
